Named after the first ‘It Girl’, Clara Bow (1905-1965), the Clara collection is inspired by the stunning Art Deco style which was popularised in the Roaring Twenties and lasted until the end of the 1930s. Clara Bow was probably the most famous of the flappers in the 1920s, as an acclaimed actress that appeared in 46 silent films and 11 talkies between 1922 and 1933.
Characterised by harmonious clean lines, geometric shapes and sleek design, the Art Deco style epitomises the glamorous flappers of the 1920s – women pushing barriers in female economic, political and sexual freedom.
