'Bespoke' is a term that is used a lot nowadays.

Here at Aril Jewels, we believe bespoke means doing things the traditional way - transforming your wildest dreams into reality. As bespoke specialists, it is our honour to help guide you from the seed of an idea to the creation of the most beautiful, unique piece of jewellery you could ever imagine. A future heirloom that's been made especially for you.

Let's get to know one another

The first step of commissioning a bespoke piece is a good old chat. Whether online or in person, we'll get to know you (or your other half) a little better. We'll ask you questions about favourite colours, styles, gems or general likes and dislikes so we can get a better idea of your personal style.

We're always happy to chat about jewellery, so if you're still in the discovery stage, please don't hesitate to get in contact - we're super friendly, promise!

First Impressions

The next step is coming up with some hand-drawn, to-scale sketches based on our conversations. This exciting stage is when we can really play with every detail to get your piece absolutely perfect. Sometimes we will present you with a few ideas to narrow things down further or if you're already sure of exactly what you want, we'll show you the final design sketch.

Treasure Hunt

After your final design is confirmed, we search the world for the perfect gems to go into your piece. We have extremely high standards for our stones, we may search through hundreds to find just the right one for you. We only use the most reputable gem and diamond dealers who supply us with top quality, ethical and natural stones. Usually, we will show you a couple of different options, possibly at different price points, for you to choose the stone that speaks to you. We'll often also show you a 'layout' of your gems in their final design so you can really see your piece start to come to life.

A work of Art

We're passionate about your pieces being as beautiful as they can be, from every angle. After your design has been refined and your perfect gems have been chosen, there's one more unusual next step. We'll create a traditional gouache painting, by hand, of your final piece. This little piece of art will show every detail of your dream jewel and is yours to keep.

A safe pair of hands

Once your design and gemstones have been finalised, our amazing master craftsmen will bring your dream to life. Using mostly traditional techniques, with the odd modern tool thrown in, the men and women making Aril Jewels pieces are experts at the tops of their fields and truly understand how to make the most beautiful jewellery possible. Your piece will often pass through a few careful hands, all with different specific skills, before being finished. We're passionate about supporting British craftsmanship and keeping these traditional skills alive, so all of our pieces are either entirely, or predominantly, made by hand in London.

The final step is to present to you with your unique, finished jewel in a beautiful leather Aril Jewels box. We absolutely love seeing the joy on our clients' faces when the box is opened. The best part of our jobs is to see a happy client and to help celebrate your special moments!
